Zhenya Plechkina (co-Founder and Executive Director) is a Ukrainian born artist, teacher, and mother, who lives and makes art in South Brooklyn. Zhenya studied art and education at The Pratt Institute and NYU Tisch School, and is a licensed art educator. She is a committee member of The Active Space an artist run exhibition space in Bushwick. Zhenya’s work has been exhibited in NYC and internationally, commissioned by the Queens Museum of The Arts and exhibited at the Venice Architectural and Second Moscow Biennials. Zhenya has worked with Studio in a School as a long-term and Special Programs artist and has taught at public schools around New York City for over five years. She was a recipient of the Joshua Venture Group Dual Investment Program for social entrepreneurs, Recipient of several grants awards for educational programs within russian-speaking community and a member of the ROI Community of dynamic Jewish leaders since 2011. Zhenya’s art work has been exhibited in many individual and group shows in New York City and Philadelphia as well as reviewed in The New York Times, The Observer and Hudozhestvenniy Zhurnal.

Misha Sklar
(Co-Founder) is an artist, an architect, and a father. He has designed and built over ten residential and commercial buildings around New York City. Together with Zhenya Plechkina, he worked on a public art commission from Queens Museum of The Arts and exhibited work at the Venice Architectural and Second Moscow Biennials. Misha has participated in over 10 architectural competitions and exhibitions including “One Land Two Systems, completion to create an alternative master plan for the unrecognized Palestinian village of  Ein Hud in Israel, Shinkenchiku Residential Design Competition, Tokyo, Japan,City Lights Design Competition,  New York City’s Department of Design and Construction in partnership with the Department of Transportation,  New Housing New York Design Ideas Competition”, American Institute of Architects and the “World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition. Misha has received an Honorable Mention at the Highline Design Competition exhibition and a Jury Selection for participation at the  Brooklyn Boat house competition.

Irena Romendik
(Technical Director and Consultant) is a painter, programmer, and mother. She creates multimedia communications for artists, non-profits, and educational organizations. Irena recently taught a class in programming and interactivity at the ITP Camp at the NYU Tisch School. She is also a children’s books illustrator and a draw-a-thon regular! Irena designs and maintains the Zshuk website and blog. She is always interested in new and emerging technologies.

Victoria Bronnik (Public Interest Organizer) is a mother of two and a fashion merchandising specialist.

After working as a buyer at Saks Fifth Avenue for over 7 years Victoria decided to dedicate time to her family and community.
